- Legend Dim Sum Chinatown | https://www.legendseafoodhonolulu.com/ A weekend
crowd please or weekday work lunch spot, with Legend you can’t go wrong. They have it
all, taro puffs, turnip cake, sticky banana leaf rice, and oodles of noodle options. I love
taking visitors there or meeting up with old downtown co-workers for a fun trip down
memory lane. Located in the Chinese Cultural Plaza, be sure to take your parking ticket
in for validation. - Liliha Bakery at Macy’s Ala Moana | https://www.lilihabakery.com Wow! The menu is a
blend of all our local favorites. Always leave satisfied. Depending on what you order,
they bring a buttery pop over with this magical red dipping sauce, I think it’s cherry
flavored. It has the feel of an old school diner with a modern interior. Whether you want a
burger or loco moco, savory or sweet there’s so much offered here. I recently went for
breakfast and was won over by their famous “Wafftard” – waffle with custard in between.
It was so ono, I didn’t even need syrup. Friendly wait staff and speedy service. Great
lunch spot for tired shoppers. A hometown favorite. - Over Easy Kailua | https://www.easyquehi.com/ What can I say! When in Kailua and you
need breakfast, brunchy, or lunching this is the best! You can go either way here, a good
representation of sweets and savory on the menu. The chicken sandwich blew my mind.
They cut it in a way that you can break off pieces easily, the breading is crispy heaven.
When we went there were three dishes ordered because we couldn’t make up our
minds. Kalua Pig Has is big and beautiful, the sweet okinawan potatoes offset so nicely
with the salty pig and lomilomi. Oddly, I don’t usually remember breakfast but that meal
was one for the books. Made for excellent leftovers. - Blind Ox | https://www.blindox.com/
